My Tillamook School District priorities

Keep Good Educators

The past three school years, the number of teachers in Tillamook School District with more than 3 years teaching experience is less than 60 percent. I aim to keep a more experienced group of teachers in our schools and make new people to our community feel welcome. We also desperately need to find housing solutions for our educators.

Rebuild School and Community Partnerships

I will encourage the Tillamook School Board to reconnect our school district with services that will enrich the lives of our students, whether it through partnerships with area non-profits or building a more diverse array of extracurriculars, after-school clubs, and co-ed opportunities.

Increase Student Wellbeing

During the 2023/2024 Tillamook School District academic year, 38% of the students experienced poverty. I met dozens of local children who are currently struggling in school and, frankly, in life and I will fight for policy that increases the wellbeing of students to give them a space where they are known, safe, and loved for who they are.

Ways to support Jordan’s campaign

What’s up with Jordan Wolfe?

  • More than 15 years experience as an adult leader supporting and mentoring local youth with Tillamook County Outdoor School.

  • Three years as editor of Tillamook Headlight-Herald. Skilled at communication, transparency, and making difficult decisions.

  • Two years as an adult leader with the Oregon Association of Student Councils summer leadership camp, helping develop high school leaders in the state of Oregon. Has a vast network of people connected to school districts across the state that will share what policies and programs have been successful in their districts.

  • Six months as a substitute teacher in 2024, subbing at every school in the Tillamook School District ranging from Pre-K to the high schools (with the only exception being Trask River High School).

  • A fifth-generation Tillamook resident with a deep connection and vested interest and commitment in the success of our schools and the health of our community.

More about Jordan

Hey there! As some of you know, I was born and raised in Tillamook and I have volunteered, literally, thousands of hours with Tillamook County Outdoor School to give local kids a safe, educational, and entertaining environment to explore the Oregon Coast’s natural resources. There’s a lot more to my story; check it out in the About section to get to know me better.
